With no fancy grounding rods and no wire brushing, I’m still getting consistent, solid pulses using just my existing T-posts and welded wire fence as the ground. The charger is powering a standard steel strand a few inches above the welded wire — and it absolutely works.
We used to have problems with raccoons climbing over the fence and getting into the chicken coop. They don’t anymore— and my hand certainly knows why.
